A short film to document one version of Julia's powerful piece, "I Used to Be..." . Julia transformed the basement of an old Marks & Spencers building in Warrington into a surreal space occupied by objects and memories from and relating to her past. This durational performance, originally 9hrs when first performed and 3hrs this time around, involves Julia using the dance to reflect on her experiences as a caregiver for both of her parents who had dementia.
